But there’s still a long way to go, as the Black Lives Matter protests over the past few years have made abundantly clear. For those of us who grew up here, we often forget that there s a slew of people who have never heard of Ramirez, despite his rise to infamy as the Night Stalker. There s also a whole generation that probably has never heard of him; which is why it should come as no surprise that, thanks to the Netflix docu-series Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer , a whole new generation of people are just finding out Richard Ramirez was an ACTUAL person and not just a character created by Ryan Murphy for his anthology series American Horror Story .

Several eminent Indian Americans including Congressmen and those set to occupy key positions in the incoming Biden Administration will participate and address the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s official Asian American inaugural ball here on Tuesday.
The Asian American inaugural ball is one of the three additional events announced by the Presidential Inaugural Committee to celebrate and honour America’s diversity in advance of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on January 20.

California surfers have been loving 2021. Day after day of pumping surf has graced the coast of the Golden State, kicking off what some feel could be a never-ending supply of swell pulsing through the Pacific.
That is a bullish prediction, according to a recent press release from the Galactic Council of Surf Gods
. In fact, a statement from the council Friday announced that not only will California’s current run of epic conditions end, West Coasters are in for a devastating flat spell as a measure to balance things out.

At this time last year, we were still going to live shows at Hodi s Half Note (formerly The Starlight), but then the rest of 2020 happened, and unfortunately, we ll be coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic with one less music venue (
and hopefully no more than that). But the good news is, a comedy club is taking its place, and we will need some laughs for sure.
The Comedy Fort announced that it will have its first show on February 12, and tickets will go on sale on January 30.
